Not booting on HP ElitePad 900

Hi,
I flashed Volumino x86 to a USB drive and tried to boot it up on my old HP ElitePad 900. It’s a business tablet with a 32-bit Intel Atom Z2760, 2GB RAM and some 60GB flash memory. When I select my thumb drive for boot, all it says is:

Loading Linux 3.18.25 ... Loading initial ramdisk ...

I left it on that screen for almost an hour, nothing seems to happen.
The USB drive works fine on my older netbook with a 32-bit Atom N270.

Can anybody help me locate the problem? I’d love to breathe some life into the thing, it has a touchscreen and comes with a docking station and would be perfect for Volumino.
