No sound from my Volumio

Hi,

I’m new to Volumio, as my new IT-professional landlord has set up speakers in the bathroom that work with this app, to play music…I’m also not tech-savvy at all compared to all of you, and so I’m confused by a lot of terms used on this forum.
But here is my issue: until today, the sound of my Volumio was working fine with radios and such, but since I tried making my Volumio read my server’s music files (from a USB stick that I plugged onto it), the sound for both these files and the radios or others from Volumio doesn’t work anymore.
I don’t know what the problem is and I have no clue how to fix it. I spent the whole afternoon already trying to get Volumio to play both Youtube plugin music and my personal music files and thought it was finally working from the server, but even though the files show and seem to be playing, now no sound will come out…I’m at my wit’s end honestly.
I hope you guys can help me with terms I can actually understand. I’m on pc (win 11) or android on my phone by the way, and a free user of the app.

Please remove the USB again and reboot.
See if the sound is playing again.
When you have sound plugin the USB thingy and try again. It might be that the the current drawn from USB ports is to high causing all kind of weird behaviours.
Post a log from both situations.

Hello, I still don’t have a solution to my problem…
Can my log help anyone identify a glitch or something else?

I don’t see anything weird in the log.
Try if adding to the /boot/userconfig.txt solves your problem.
dtparam=i2c_arm_baudrate=1000000

My problem now is that I can’t even log in anymore…my browser doesn’t recognize the link to my volumio with my IP. Could it be because I turned off my device? But I don’t know how to turn it back on directly through the touch screen…
Any idea what I should do?

you can try using your phone and the Volumio app, or pull the plug and fore a cold reboot.

My phone can’t locate the device through the app, and I have no access to the plug of the device as it is stuck inside the wall, out of reach.

Sounds like your SD card is corrupted, I would advise to take a new SD and start from scratch.

It looks like a hard reboot worked! I not only have sound again but I can play any mp3 from my usb when put on my local internet server.
