No database trying to scan Synology NAS

I have a Primo and want to fill the library from my Synology NAS.
I followed the manual, I am connected to the NAS, but when scanning, I get the following error message: My Music error while scanning database /usr/bin/mpc update mpd error: no database
My settings:
Set for NFS
Host Name: IP of the Pi
Privilege: Read/Write
Squash: Map all users to Admin
Security: Sys
Enable Asynchronous - checked
Allow connections from non-privileged ports - checked
Allow users to access mounted subfolders - checked

In Volumio I have the following:
Alias - DS716II+
NAS IP Address - IP address
Path - /volume1/Music
File Share type - nfs
user name -
password -

I have followed all the threads on this subject. A thread was open here for several years, but this work not for me. On the NAS side, I believe all NFS rights have been granted.
Volumio version = 3.832
Should i try CIFS instead of NFS?

Any idea how to solve this? Thank you very much for your suggestions.

NAS Setup Guidance for Volumio Integration

  1. Check NFS Configuration
    – Unsure if your NAS is set up for NFS?
    – Note: It usually requires more than just enabling a toggle, you’ll need to properly configure user permissions and verify access rights to relevant folders and files.
  2. Verify CIFS Compatibility
    – Determine which version of CIFS/SMB your NAS supports (e.g., SMBv1, SMBv2, SMBv3).
    – Make sure that a user with read/write (RW) privileges is configured on the NAS.
  3. Mount CIFS Share in Volumio
    – In Volumio, set up the CIFS mount using the correct credentials and shared path.
    – Ensure folder permissions on your NAS allow RW access for the user specified in Volumio.
    – Depending on the supported SMB version, you might need to add vers=1 or vers=2 or vers=3.

If the connection still fails, feel free to share the error message or mount configuration details, and I can help troubleshoot further. Include a full log.
