No Album Art by Radio Stations

Volumio 4

With Volumio 4, the station logos are displayed when streaming internet radio. However, the album art is not shown. I’ve tried various German radio stations. Even with Radio Paradise, which explicitly displays the metadata (FLAC with metadata), nothing is shown. Adjusting the metadata settings and clearing the cache didn’t help. If this is a bug, I’d be happy to wait for an update. The Volumio version is the latest, and the Raspberry Pi 5 has 8GB of RAM.

Thank you for your support. (Text translated with Google Translate)

Hello, I’m sort of in the same boat so to speak with ripped CD album art not working properly.
I took a look through the file structure of my Volumio 4 on Pi 5 and see that album art is stored in a separate folder location away from the album’s FLAC file, which might be a change from earlier versions of the software.

The bug seems to be Volumio does not look to that alternate location. However, I did rip one CD that did properly display the album’s artwork at the time I initially ripped it. I did not investigate why or where that file is located.

I’m not sure if this will help. I posted about it here 4 days ago and so far no response.

Good luck!

@doorunrun Hello Doorunrun, thank you so much for your kind support. The covers of the ripped CDs are displayed correctly for me. The logos of the respective radio stations are also displayed correctly. Only the album art for the individual songs on the radio isn’t displayed; the station logo always remains. Perhaps the following will help you: I have the album cover in the same folder as “Folder.jpg” for my ripped CDs. Then it’s always displayed correctly for me. Best regards, Slesvig
