No Airplay playback information in web app?

Hi there,

as far as I know airplay should support display of song information during playback.
However volumio doesn’t support this so far.

Is there a major reason why this isn’t supported, like a technical reason behind apples protocol that doesn’t make it easy to work with or has it been in the queue?

I actually have a fork that should allow shairport (what volumio uses for airplay support) to export song info. Then it would be up to the devs to take in this info and update the page with it.

Either way, it’s a volumio dev issue, not an Apple one
