NFS share on Synology NAS mounts but no files

so I have Volumio 3 on a raspberry Pi, brand new install. My music is on a Synology NAS on the same LAN, both are connected by ethernet and have a static IP. Connections to each are solid.

So I make the music folder an NFS share and after a bit of fiddling I could mount it in Volumio and then get the library scanned.

Then I map the same folder to my laptop (windows 10). I create a new “tmp” folder in music and drop a wave file in.

In Volumio I am initially able to browse to the file and play it. This is something I really need to work (it’s the whole point of having a NAS), so good so far.

Now 10 mins later - Volumio suddenly sees no files and the entire library database seems to be empty.

This doesn’t look good …

try from SSH:
sudo systemctl restart mpd

hi. Thank you for the quick reply, appreciated. Going to try another solution.
