New Volumio V2.555 doesn't offer output "USB Audio" anymore

Dear Masters of Volumio,

I have been using the Trio Volumio, RPI 512A (or B?) and my Cambridge Audio DacMagic for many years now without any problems. Last version of Volumio I used was 2.224.
Now I thought it is time for an update and I downloaded and installed V2.555 on a fresh SD-Card. I started the RPI with the new Version while my DacMagic was running already (as usual) in order that the RPI detects the DacMagic.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t work. If I try to change the output, I strangely don’t get “USB Audio” as an output option anymore, but “USB: C-Media USB Headphone set”. The other two output options are as previously “Audio Jack” and “HDMI Out”. see attachment: Capture+_2019-03-02-14-55-12.jpg

I put the old SD-card in with Volumio 2.224 and everything works fine again with the output selected to “USB Audio”.

Has anyone an idea what’s wrong here? I searched for a solution now already many evenings and have no idea anymore what to do.

Simply, in this new version your USB Audio device has a different name… Select it and it will work

It works!!!
How embarrassing simple was this??? I should have find it out myself. I tried this before and didn’t work, but this was probably because I forgot to set the I2S-Switch to off.

Anyway: Problem solved! Deeply thankful!
