2.3.2 now on iphone 14 with Rivo and with Pi5.

Both connect flawlessly the first time and work fine. Once I leave for a while, ie overnight, I lose connection to the Rivo but not the Pi5. Once theis happens i cannot reconnect until i reboot the rivo even though it is connected, in fact playing.

Using Rivo+ on latest version, and latest beta iOS app running on 26.1 beta 3. It seems to only connect with Bluetooth. Network access is on on the settings but not on in the app and I cannot select it.

Galaxy A56 5G
One UI: 7.0
Android V: 15
App: 2.3.3
The review I placed for the iPhone version is also valid for the android version:

Volumio test app version 2.3.3 - Motorola Edge 30 Neo - Android 14.
I have two devices named:

  1. Rotel (Raspberry Pi 5A connected via LAN)
  2. Denon (Raspberry PI 3A+ connected via Wi-Fi)

Both devices were detected by the app without any major issues.

I didn’t use the Bluetooth connection.

Can we expect the option to rotate the application by 90 degrees when rotating the phone / tablet ?

I know there’s no accounting for taste, but the stable version had a clearer selection of devices. Screenshots are attached.

Furthermore, when playing songs, only part of the window is used. This is highlighted in the phone’s screenshot.

Furthermore, with the smaller icon of the second device, the “Online” text appears above the device’s text – perhaps you could swipe it to the right – along with the device name.

The same applies when a device is unavailable – does it say “Offline” or “Unavailable”?

I’ve been testing version 2.3.3 on Android 16 (Google Pixel 9 Pro) and I share all of @SimonE 's positive impressions. What I appreciate the most are the fixed volume handling (that issue had been around for a while) and a much more reliable “Play Here” feature!
Also really like the new black icon: it finally helps me tell the app apart from the desktop shortcuts I’ve added to my phone’s home screen for MyVolumio and the forum

As for future improvements, the one I’m really hoping for is remote listening — as SimonE mentioned — ideally with an option to select the output format or automatically adjust quality when the connection is weak.
Other additions like favorite artists or layout customization would be nice to have, but in my view, a solid MyVolumio integration for remote playback would be the real game changer for both the app and the overall Volumio experience.

I’ve just noticed that v2.3.4 has been released for iOS and this has fixed the issues I was having with finding devices - thanks for the great work :+1:

Same here. Only in version v2.3.4 I was able to find my device on iPhone 11 PRO. Now I will be able to test the app.

Hi using the new app on Android 15 on Samsung Galaxy S23 ultra, was fine when I first started using it, apart from one device on a RP4 wasn’t listed (it is now). Unfortunately the app is now just constantly restarting now

Thank you for reporting. We are aware of the issue, next release (in a couple of hours) should fix this issue.

Testing 2.3.6 Android. Looking good.

I’ve not had any issues discovering my devices (Pi4 wired and Pi5 wifi). Switches smoothly between devices.

I wasn’t having app restarts in the previous version as others reported, so can’t comment on improvement in this version.

I like the new Volumio styled device icons.
Normal functions all as expected, though much the same as using a browser. Performance is smooth and fast.

Running iOS version:
iPhone 15,
iOs 18.6,
App V2.3.6.

When there are new devices, the app doesn’t recognize then by name, so it’s a bit of a gamble:

Unable to connect to the Motivo, spinning circle and finally error:

Still very confusing to which unit I am connected?

It looks like I am connect to the Rivo, but the app controls the Primo in this case. But I can’t tell from the App.

App version 2.4.1

After the initial versions, where it couldn’t find any devices, I have the following comments / requests

1 - In the initial screen, on device selection, there should be an option to use a default device and not having to choose which device I want every time the APP starts (it’s rather annoying and I believe this was already a request regarding the current not beta APP).

2 - Regarding rotation of screen while playing:
iPhone 11 Pro Max (the behaviour is the same on my Android Samsung A42):

When rotating the screen is rather confusing to say the least.

iPAD 11 2025:

Works very well.

In general I like the look and feel of Beta Version over the production one. At least it’s not so web-browser-like

Motorola Edge 30 Neo - Android 14 - Volumio 2.5.0 App beta - Volumio 4.062 User Interface Manifest

After updating to version 4.064 - the Android app does not connect to Volumio.
Desktop computer - everything works

press on the 3 dots, delete the device and open the app again.

Doesn’t work

Is there any way to sort my Artist search results by release date ? Albums, EP’s, Singles are all seemingly randomized making it very difficult for me to keep track of the latest from my favourite artists especially if I’m not familiar with their entire catalogue. Thanks !
