I am quite pleased by this past week’s experience configuring and using Volumio on a Raspberry Pi 3b/HiFiBerry Dac+P directly connected to a seventies era Sony power amplifier . So far I have mainly explored Volumio’s Internet radio functions. For the past several years, I’ve used VLC for Internet radio and Audacity for timed recordings and no doubt continue to do that.
My hearing is golden only to the extent that my hearing aids probably include some components made of gold. Nonetheless, I refer traditional hi-fi sound to contemporary AV sound that seems more suited to movies or TV than to music of any type…
