New to Volumio, having issues with plugins

Hi. I’ve just installed Volumio. Basic operation is ok, but I’m having issues with three plugins.

Hardware: Raspberry Pi 4B
Version: 3.816
Output: HDMI to TV, then eARC to preamp

Issues:

  1. FusionDsp (version 1.0.61). I get massive stuttering when I enable FusionDsp on all sources. I tried the 3-band and 15-band equalizers as well as pure CamillaDsp. In the CamillaDsp GUI, I can clearly see the signal cutting in and out on the input meters. Disabling the plugin fixes the stuttering.

  2. Spotify (version 4.1.4). I’ve successfully logged in and authorized the player.

a. Although I can browse playlists/artists/etc., nothing ever plays. After a long wait, the player transport shows the track and the process bar advances for a little while then stops. The play button never changes to pause. Eventually the track changes but there’s never any sound.

b. Volumio appears as an available Spotify Connect device option in the Spotify app, but fails to connect.

  1. Touch Display (version 3.5.1). The local HDMI display output doesn’t recognize the tv resolution and there are black bars on the left and right. I’ve used the same rPi with that other audio player and it filled the screen, so I don’t think it’s a problem with hardware or cables.

I’d appreciate any help or advice.
