New to volumio - External usb DAC U-SABRE + raspberry pi 4 - No sound

Hello,

I am new to volumio and I have some difficulties using my DAC :

  • DAC: U-SABRE from AUdiophonics in USB
    Volumio is used on a Rapsberry Pi 4

I am only using AIrplay for my tests, for now the problems I have :

  • no sound out of the DAC
  • Airplay on my iphone drops connection after 3 s when I start to play any music from Apple Music.

I would really like to use volumio but I have no idea how to solve these problems…

I switched to a raspberry pi 3B+ and now it is working !

That’s good, but intriguing. If it works on a 3B it should work on a Pi4.

Any idea how to solve the issue ?

It might be a power supply problem. In my experience Pi 4 needs 5v and 3 amps. A Pi 3B will work with 5v and 2.5 amps
