 at least in this case my LLM helped me to get my valued Volumio back again …

Yeah, same. Although I don’t use Spotify much, nice to solve it locally without too much effort.

@volumio, perhaps this is worth fixing. Seem to have happened just recently, not sure what exactly caused it to happen now.

Thanks! I guess my grok editing the config did the trick. The process I too complex for me at the moment. Your reply is very helpful.

As of yesterday I am also not able to use spotify. Accessing Volumio in my web browser I can see all my spotify stuff, but nothing will play. Also, volumio no longer appears in spotify connect. I tried using @rkorell 's workaround, but got stuck at step (3. Open Spotify → pick the device via Spotify Connect → play a few seconds) since the device is not available. I’m not so tech savvy so I don’t know if I’m experiencing the same issue. Volumio does not keep restarting as far as I can tell.

To clarify, we are probably having the same issue? You have logged in via the plugin and authorized your account. Now browsing volumio does not allow you to play music from spotify, plus your device is not showing in Spotify anymore?
Short solution… Log out and use only the connect functionality. The issue with mine is in the login.

Volumio is constant restarting when I installed the plug in for Spotify. I have a Hifiberry 3 DAC+, System 4.119. I did a fresh installation of the system. I uninstalled the plug in and Volumio seems to behave normal.
I have the impression that the troubles are starting as soon as I sign in at Spotify. Signing off and Volumio behaves normally.

Thanks a lot, this worked for me! Followed the steps: switched the config to type: zeroconf with persist_credentials: true, restarted only the daemon, connected once from my phone via Spotify Connect to seed the credential, then did the normal plugin login again. state.json now holds a valid credential (True, 256) and it survives restarts — native browse/play from Volumio works again.

Really appreciate the detailed write-up explaining why it broke and why it self-healed for some but not others. That made all the difference. Cheers!

Pi 4B 1 GB RAM based player with display and USB DAC. Stuck in an infinite loop.
Could anyone please help:
Log here: http://logs.volumio.org/volumio/DzhGhpJ.html

Have followed @b00h000 's steps, but now the error message reads: level=warning msg=“failed handling dealer request” error=“no primary stream”

Anyone any clue what to do next?

This worked!! Thank you!
For the record: In my browser, I went to settings and logged out from Spotify. My Volumio device now shows up in my separate Spotify app and I can connect to it.

What exactly did you do? My Spotify isn’t working anymore either :frowning:
Thanks

Thank you @rkorell. Your instructions helped me get Spotify back up and running! Appreciate your help!

Issue has been reported internally.

I removed spotify and the streamer started working fine. Then I reinstalled spotify to try the solution mentioned by @rkorell . But even before trying it, now it is stuck somewhere at boot. Not able to get it with SSH too. Any help?
