need help hiding Volumio Access Pt OR BT control

I am currently building a R-pi3 based Volumio to replace keeping music on my work PC (network group is starting to delete music files on PCs…

First off the reasoning behind my desire… I work for a company that deals with Health insurance info and due to that our company is VERY active in scanning for rouge Wifi, and doesn’t allow unknown devices on networks etc.

So with that being said I am looking for a way to Hide the Volumio Access Pt SSID, OR more preferably find a method for controlling the Volumio via a BlueTooth or even USB attached device (my cell phone)…

I have searched and it has looked like some people have requested BlueTooth control in the past, but I haven’t seen anything stating it has been added, or that anyone has figured out a method for getting it to work.

If the volumio Android app would work over BlueTooth (vs trying to implement IP over BlueTooth as one post I saw suggested) I would gladly pay for the app.

I would like to add I am a Linux noob, so if there is something to do in Linux I would pretty much need directions spelled out

I did find a post about hooking up a touch screen to the R-pi… this would be an option too.

TLDR: I am looking to do is set up some form of control that would interface a Android Cel phone to the R-Pi 3 running Volumio to control playback, I am not looking to stream anything form the phone to the R-Pi etc. Just trying to set up a more stealth system.

At least your company has more sense than you have  SCNR

SO I found the touchscreen plug in so I spent the $$ on a touchscreen, that way I can kill the wifi and make everyone happy  I get my tunes and security doesn’t freak due to a rogue wifi connection

And yes I work in IT so I know the risks LOL I just really like my tunes will writing scripts and pushing software to the entire company :stuck_out_tongue: and for drowning out my annoying coworkers.
