My final Streamer in a great case

I want to share a view pictures of my final Streamer. I’m playing around with Volumio sice - i think - 4 years. So it was now time to built my final version for the living room.

Really nice looking result, makes me think i really should do something with my bundle of wires and cables!

How did you mount the screen? I think that’s my biggest concern about trying something like this

To mount the display is not that easy. The front of the case is 10mm thick, but the display is 13mm deep. So I planned an additional sheet of acrylic behinde the aluminum front to hold the display and then the acrylic sheet is mountet in between the case and the aluminum front.

For sure noboddy wants to do this by hand. luckily I hav got a DIY CNC-mill. By the way, the case manufacturer provides CAD-files from the case.

the back of the case can be ordered as an upgrade in 2mm aluminum too, so it is easyer to cut it too (standard is a steel-back)

I’m really happy with the look of the final streamer. In addition I have put some LED-strips behind the acrylic.
