Music Library items won't play, but Artists, Albums, etc. will

I edited the music_directory setting in /volumio/app/plugins/music_service/mpd/mpd.conf.tmpl so that it points directly to my music folder:

music_directory “/var/lib/mpd/music/USB/9e5f10f9-33b8-436c-a646-173099e024dc”

Rebuilt the music database and now have a more user friendly UI.

I can play music from within Albums, Artists, etc., but whilst Music Library is fully populated nothing will play. There are no errors appearing in the log.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Just a small update. I also tried leaving mpd.conf.tmpl untouched and instead making a symbolic link from /var/lib/mpd/music to the root folder of my music on the USB drive.

Same outcome: library updates and populates, items in Albums, Artists and so-on play perfectly but no items in Music Library play at all. No errors in the logs.

I’m guessing that the volumio web app has something hard-coded that is breaking.

Do have to ask, Why would you have a need to change something dynamic to something hardocded?

Because I don’t need the default dynamism. All my audio is in one place and clicking through USB, then drive to get to the real data is annoying and redundant.
