Multi Room Simultaneous Playing - Synology

I’ve read a few threads re multi room streaming but havent found many solutions…apologies if this has been posted before but thought I’d share my experience.

Firstly my setup. 2 RaspberryPI’s running 1.5…the pi’s are both model B running via ethernet and connected to amps via 3.5mm (no DACs yet). I also have a synology ds411j that has all my music. I followed this thread to get the synology working with Volumio experience-getting-volumio-going-t746.html

I also installed Audio Station on the synology. Then from the synology Diskstation web interface under Audio Station from the top menu there’s an option to select players. I selected Multiple Airplay Devices and then selected both my pi’s.

Then from Audio Station whatever music you play is heard on both pi’s at the same time.

Hope this helps anyone who wants to stream multiroom ala Sonos.

I have two raspberry with volumio, and a synology with audio station but I don’t send audio to devices
I select an device, but the audio dont out

i found the list of device.
I select an device “sala”, but the audio don’t out from volumio “sala”

idem with “Volumio”

why??
