Mischa's Music Volumio DIY

So today I finally finished the build of my Volumio streamer.
I’m so happy with it! Addicted to the chair I’m sitting in right now…

So, just a recap of the setup:

  1. The player
    Raspberry 3 B
    Waveshare 7.9" HDMI screen
    Allo Piano 2.1 DAC

  2. Amplifier
Denon AVR 3600H for main speakers
    NAD MSPA 2600 for subwoofers

  3. Loudspeakers
Main speakers - DIY build with Vifa mid and bass, ScanSpeak tweeters
Subwoofers - DIY build with Pioneer 12" drives

With Volumio I only use stereo mode with subwoofers. No surround, that’s for movies

  1. Software:
    Volumio 3.661
    PeppyMeter 2.0.0 plugin

  2. Subscriptions:
    Volumio Premium
    Qobuz Studio

And I also have own music library on DIY OpenMediaVault NAS connected.

Here are some pics from the build process:

Yes, I’m quiet proud of myself, I did it and I love it…

I want to say BIG THANK YOU to the whole community for making this possible!
Especially the devs of Volumio, PeppyMeter and all Youtubers, who shared their builds, so I could learn something.

Let the music play!

Version 3 is born.

This one is mobile, works on a battery from Makita tools

And, number 4 is born. It could be the largest ghettoblaster in the Netherlands

Serves at our office’s canteen starting today…

It will get higher feet later on, today my vacation started, there was no time to finish that

Should I build the next one from my professional speakers?
I mean, 4x 28" subwoofers, 4x 22" woofers, 2x horn type tweeters, all from Wharfedale PRO series, driven by 1x 1800W and 2x 1200W amplifiers.
The set as it is now weight is around 600kg…
:stuck_out_tongue:

Euh, if it comes with a pallet truck go for it. But you need wide doors to move it arround.

I know, I moved it to hundreds of parties and live gigs already. A Mercedes Vito full, you can’t even place a bag of groceries anymore in the car

idee is brilliant, voor alle voetbal kantines in Nederland: market voor jou :joy:

Then just create a Vitobox. Drill some holes in the side panels for the speakers and a big flatscreen as rear window and some decals with “BeBeMi ChaChaCha”

Here about 60% of my stuff is in use…

It is doable:
But some holes are pretty big though…
Maybe not my best idea

But, on a serious note, I need help with this: Two HDMI screens simultaneously
