miniDSP SHD and CD ripping?

Hi, first post. I have an early (1st gen) miniDSP SHD and want to use it with an optical drive to rip CDs s shown in this video.

I never get the CD icon in Volumio, it does not find the drive. I’m not sure if this feature is actually supported on the SHD? If any SHD owners read this, does it work for you?

Not sure if you get much response here, as this forum doesn’t support MiniDSP. (Custom build of Volumio). Support is with MiniDSP.
