MiniDLNA Broken (connection failure)

Been a happy user for a few months. The second to last update broke miniDLNA. Thought it would be fixed with the Hotfix shortly after that. But no. I have tried ubinstalling/reinstalling it via the UI, via ssh (update, fix missing, pretty much everything). But it just doesn’t work. Whichever route I take, the process always fails when fetching packages from the raspbianDOTnetDOTin mirrors. “Connection failed”.

These mirrors have been broken for over a week now. The surprising part is, I can very easily connect to the same mirrors and download anything I want from any browser. It just fails in the Volumio environment. Can somebody look into this? I’m not sure how many need those packages from this geographical location so the devs might not even know.

Kumar

You may try changing the repository mirror as described here.

Thanks for that. I’ll give it a try and respond. Cheers.

That worked a charm. Thank you so much. This is top class support. I tried to see (out of curiosity) what happens when I replace it with the same DOTin problematic server. The shell actually showed a message “there is something wonky going on with this server”. Funny.
