Local play ok, streaming distorted

I’m using Volumio 1.55 on a Raspberry Pi 2.

I can playback music from my NAS just fine both using the onboard sound and a USB DAC. If I try to stream using DLNA or AirPlay the speakers only emit high pitched stuttering squeals no matter if it’s onboard or USB DAC.

Do anyone have any suggestions?

I’ve got the same issue on a Cubox-i with Volumio 1.5 (Linux Volumio 3.14.14-cubox).

I have now installed Volumio 1.4. This allows streaming fom my smartphone, but only via ethernet, wifi doesn’t work (at leat not out of the box).
