Linn radio stations do not work

Hi i am running volumio last version on a pi 3b 1 giga with hifiberry dac hat and I realised that the 3 linn stations do not wor so I checked in moode audio and on this platform the linn stations do work. The same happens also with the latest previous version of volumio. Is it fixable and how

you could always add your own stations if you know the url.

Interestingly, I think that adding the .pls URL for Linn Radio will not only not play the station, but (at least in my server, 3.301 on an Intel x86 Mac Mini) it’ll break the whole server once you try to play the station.

I enjoy Linn Radio stations, and play them regularly on my Yamaha AV receiver so I added them via the URL before I came across them in the “Volumio Selections” list. Because the first thing I wanted to do was play the stations I’d added, I tried and after that the server not only won’t play any web radio but also lost the ability to play my library. Reboot restores other functionality but if I try to play the Linn Radio stations (from the .pls URLs offered on Linn’s website) it breaks again.

I don’t think it’s playing a playlist, normaly it’s Playing streams

The UI says I can add .pls or .m3u URLs… one of the options Linn Radio offers is .pls, no .m3u option was listed there (on Linn’s site) From the timeout error that comes up when trying to play Linn Classical from the link in Volumio Selections, it seems that the built-in one may be an ip address that has changed.

I see in tunein.com that the station is nolonger available

AH! Well, that would explain why my URL doesn’t work, tunein is part of the URL so that’s where it’s trying to go. I’ll see if I can get the Yamaha to show me what it’s connecting to (or if that stream still works!)

Volumio isn’t handling the non-working URL elegantly but I feel better about it if the URL is just broken.

Is it the jazz linn or witch is it that you want

I have a few:

Jazz : radio.linn.co.uk:8000/autodj
Linn radio : radio.linn.co.uk:8003/autodj
Classic : radio.linn.co.uk:8004/autodj

Try to add it look if it works in volumio
I listen to the streams so i know they work

I listen to the jazz one and the classical one. Never really tried the 3rd one.

All 3 of those links work beautifully in volumio. Thanks very much! And I’ll add this info to the bug report I submitted about the other links breaking volumio in a nasty way.

Hallo,

funny, i did. the same.
Linn doesn‘t work on my RPI, so i tried MoodeAudio for a while, with MoodeAudio it seems there are no issues with the Radio Stations.

Back to Volumio, Linn doesn‘t run out of the box.
I set Linn new with the Links, now it works.
I know, there where a lot of work on Volumio the last time, now some people will be glad, if there will be a little bit more fokus on the Radios😉.

Btw, i like the new APP :+1:
