Kudos to Volumio Tech Support

I am a new Volumio Rivo + user. I just wanted to express how impressed I am with the initial technical support that I have had a chance to use. The policy which offers new streamer users an opportunity for a one-on-one phone conversation, to optimize the Volumio settings to the user’s system, is much appreciated and rare to find among manufacturers. With the purchase of Rivo + comes the premium version of the software, along with the high level of support. This initial phone call is very important because some of the default settings delivered with Volumio are not ideal for the Rivo +. Also, there are several unneeded functions that can be disabled, in some cases improving the performance of the unit. If you are a Rivo user, consider turning Volume Optimization off. It causes weird shifts in volume on dynamic recordings. I thought I had a defective unit until I turned that option off. In my case, streaming directly into an external high quality DAC and preamp, I have no need of volume optimization and the sound degradation that comes with it.
