I repeat the post here.
Installed the Kodi plugin on rasp3 + Allo Boss, I connected the HDMI cable to my TV, I see Kodi perfectly. Set in Volumio Enable DAC.
I installed the Kodi YouTube plugin and I see the videos perfectly, but I do not listen to them! Is it correct to assume that it should be heard through Volumio?
What am I doing wrong?

I responded in the Kodi thread, but I think you should select the soundcard in Kodi, by default it chooses ALSA, but that doesn’t work. 
I have same problem. I was setting DAC on and saved the setting in kodi . But it doesn’t reflected. I am still seeing DAC off in kodi setting. No output from DAC
The problem is probably the current UIConfig file from the latest commit, see the solution here.

And also for Allo BOSS DAC, it only worked for me after i disabled startup sound first and then overwriting below value in /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf as discussed in other threads
defaults.ctl.card 1
defaults.pcm.card 1
Now Kodi sound goes to DAC… It is impressive work… Thanks again
