Is there a plugging or a way to control the basics : play , pause , next, previous, shutdown
Using a keyboard media keys, I am thinking to use a Teensy set as HID keyboard with sensor to do the key actions

You will need to install additional software, such as reported here. Be aware that there may be consequences to the correct running of Volumio, and that you are responsible for sorting out any mishaps. Definitely avoid any use ‘sudo apt-get upgrade’.
