I tried Volumio a couple of years ago but had lots of problems. I was forced to use Rune. I got that easily configured on RasPi 3B and music souse a NAS.
I want to go back to Volumio.
Flashing drive and install went very well
Network connect no problem
USB stick music no problem
Network share to NAS is where I got stuck. My Rune RasPi is not problem
I have a new RasPi 3B+ with Volumio
network share is \Vault2]Disk2\DSD or 192.168.1.39\Disk2\DSD
but no luck
I get an error mount drive
I have no restrictions on share
I am using a Buffalo NAS
Hi…
I’m new to Volumio but had a similar problem.
Try adding <vers=2.0> without the <> to the options for the NAS. That worked for me. My NAS is a Qnap, but i think the problem is with Volumio so it may work.
I apo
add ver =2.0 to where?logize but I do not understand what you mean
I apologize but I do not understand what you mean
Add Ver=2.0 to where?
This is my setup:
From the settings gear wheel on the home page:
click: My Music
+Add New Drive
Alias - what ever you want to call it
IP address - mine is a static address on a different network… yours will be different
File Share Type - select cifs
Path - music (this is what i set as a shared folder on my NAS)
click “Show Advanced Options”
Username: NAS user
Password: user’s NAS password
Options: vers=2.0
Then click Save.
Thanks I will give this a try
Success
It took a few tries but I am connected
thanks so much
im a happy camper
Well not quite
Drives mounted but no content shows
Hello,i’m new here glad to see you
Have a look at system logs to see what is happening as your NAS is indexed.
sorry this seems to be beyond my capabilities
I may have to revert back to Rune and wait another couple of years before Volumio is ready for the idiots like me.
I really wanted to use Volumio it certainly has a better look and feel than Rune
works perfectly with USB and web radio but I have almost 12 TB of music on the NAS I listen to most
