Issue with Aiyima DAC-2 connected through USB

Hi all, I have discovered Volumio recently and installed in a Raspberry Pi4. My DAC is an Aiyima DAC-a2. I see it is not recognized as such, but I am able to select the output.
I am able to get sound for some time, and after a random time, it just loses connection.
Looking at the log, I can see these errors:

kernel: usb 1-1.4: 3:0: usb_set_interface failed (-32)
kernel: usb 1-1.4: 3:2: cannot set freq 96000 to ep 0x3
kernel: usb 1-1.4: 3:0: usb_set_interface failed (-32)

Can anyone guide me on how to fix this?
Note: I usually connect an external USB hard drive to the Raspi, but I also have tried it without the usb drive with the same results.

Thanks for joining the conversation. To help you more effectively, could you please share a bit more detail about your setup and the issue you’re experiencing?

So far, we know:

  • You’re using a Raspberry Pi 4
  • Your DAC is an Aiyima DAC-A2
    • It’s a USB plug-and-play DAC, recognized as “USB HIFI AUDIO” by most systems.
    • It supports 96kHz/24-bit over USB and 192kHz/24-bit via optical/coaxial.

To assist you better, it would be great to know:

  • What version of Volumio you’re running, don’t reply with “the latest”.
  • Whether you’ve made any custom configurations
  • Which plugins have been installed
  • Post a full log when this issue happens (drop of Audio)

Next:

  • Shut down the rPi4
  • Remove the DAC
  • Reboot without the DAC connected
  • When Volumio is fully rebooted, connect the DAC
  • Post again a full log

Version: 3.832
No custom configurations
Plugins installed:
Spotify
FusionDSP 1.0.61 (altough it has failed without that one as well)

Behaviour: sometimes the DAC just wont emit any sound. Sometimes it works for some time, and after the Queue is finished, when I try to play another file I get the error. Sometimes I just get some noise from the DAC. I know the DAC works because I use it regularly through USB, COAX and optic input.
