Is pink faun i2s hdmi bridge compatible with volumio?

as the title indicates, is this pink faun audio card compatible with volumio pc x86/x64.

when i boot volumio via a usb stick i can choose from three audio outputs, one the 3.5 millimeter jack gives sound, the other nothing but no error either, the hdmi gives an alsa error.

I need to see “aplay -l”, not familiar with this device and don’t remember anyone else ever mentioning it.

Edit: a log might be helpfull as well.

edit: log

Google says, it needs a proprietary Radeon driver for it, which we don’t have (and won’t install).

You could try installing one, but that would likely not survive an OTA update at some point.
In the nearly 7 years that I support the x86 version this is the first time we encounter such an issue.
Really sorry, can’t give you any better news.

ok thanks then at least we know.

I’m trying to make this work for someone, but then I’m not going to continue with this.
then it will probably be a raspberry pi with spdif/coax/lvds hat.
