Is a Amp needed?

If I use pc speakers where there is a volume knob on the speakers then self, do I still need a Amp or would a dac alone do the job?

(thinking about getting the nanosound and wondering if I need the Amp or not)

hi,

active speakers are ok, with audio jack (jack to jack) or an analogous card (cinch to jack). I used the second setup for testing with rpi.

edit: nanosound use an analougous card ==>> cinch to jack cable or you use the bad audio jack from the rpi. for bad active speakers is the rpi ok.

hi i have a Dac nanosound basic, i would like some advice on some class d amplifier for 8 hom 83 db speakers. does anyone help me?
