I have volumio 3.396 running on an rpi 4 with a gustard x16 dac, I use an ipad running the volumio app to control playback. The issue I have is that after a period of playing, if I stop playback and return to the app after a period of time, the app will not control playback. I have to open a browser and use the ip to get to the interface to start playback or select a new track, radio or any other aspect of the interface. This only works sometimes, and on some occasions I have to reboot to get back control.
Has anyone else experienced this behaviour? I do find it annoying, and would like to get some stability in my system playback. My wife is so frustrated with volumio she has started playing cd’s again!
Yes we are aware of it and we are working on a solution.
Simple solution for you now, is when that happens, close the app and reopen it again
