Hopefully two simple questions

Hi,

I’m had a look but can’t seem to find an answer and don’t currently own or have access to a raspberry pi.

I would like to create a home audio system as all of my music is stored on a home nas (currently a jellyfin server).

My understanding of volumio is that I could from my phone select it to play a playlist on a chromecast, then access that list from another device if I didn’t have access to my phone and skip, amend, pause tracks in the playlist. Is that correct? A bit like how Spotify Connect works.

Ulitmatley Jellyfinn’s chromecast integration is poor which is why I am looking elsewhere.

Secondly can I remotely download tracks to the android volumio client whilst travelling away from home. I don’t believe I can from what I have read, but noticed various media server plugins. Can someone offer some guidance around this plea

Silly questions but I don’t want to buy a raspberry pi if I can’t get it to work how I want it too.

Thanks in advance.

Marc

Yes, you can.

No, you can’t.

Hope I was helpful!
