High quality audio issue using HDMI

Hi -

I’m using a Emotiva UMC-200 connected to the RPI 2, running Volumio 1.55 via HDMI. Somehow when I play high resolution files from the RPI the processor sees the quality as 48K.

I have no issues playing the same files and quality from my Sony Blu-ray player connected to the UMC-200 via Hdmi - the processor can detect the correct high def audio and automatically switches.

Any suggestion here? A side note - I think the UMC uses a cirrus logic chip - is there a manual workaround for this chip?

Any help appreciated.

I read somewhere that the HDMI on the RPi is only capable of 48K but looking at this it seems to be a kernel thing…
