Hi,
If you want to use an “old” Hifiberry DIGI" (not DIGI+) with a Raspberry 2 (or B+, I think), you have to connect SDI interface ((pins 2,4,12, 35, 39, 40 of Raspberry 2) and I2C (pins 4 and 6). If you don’t connect I2C, the DIGI is not detected.

Can you port pictures? I actually got a Digi (not digi+) and .a Raspberry 2.

I found the following pinout in another forum but seem not to work or only noise instead of audio.

Anschluß Rev. B+

P1:
3: SDA grün -> 3
5: SCL gelb -> 5

P5:
1: +5V rot -> 2
2: +3.3V orange -> 1
3: BCLK lila -> 12
4: WCLK grau -> 35
5: DOUT n.c. -> 38
6: DIN weiß -> 40
7: Gnd
8: Gnd schwarz -> 6
