Steps to Reproduce

I have active speakers which have an usb input so they are detected as an external soundcard. I don’t know what the maximum supported input sampling frequency is, but they support natively 48 kHz and 16 bits.I have resampling enabled in the volumio system settings. When I try to playback a song with 96 kHz the playback speed is half the expected speed. It seems like the frequency doesn’t seem to get resampled. The problem also exists when I completely disable resampling.

UPnP playback doesn’t work at all for me.

I’m not sure what is happening here but I saw that the resampling setting is only valid for playback of local files. So I guess this is some limitation of my hardware and I will just stick to 44.1 kHz as 96 kHz doesn’t make sense on my hardware anyways.
