Since I am not very good at English, I have everything translated by ChatGPT and I apologize if any mistakes have slipped in because of that.
Here is my first Volumio Player:

Hi @Wheaten
Thank you for your Welcome.
The second player is also my favorite, but everyone starts small. The first player has a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB built in and, of course, a much smaller display from Waveshare. I also installed the Peppymeter on both, which makes the players look even better. Both players have a front panel with a thickness of 10mm, and I had the cutouts and holes machined by a company.

Hi @Uwek
The dimensions of the front panel are 180mm x 450mm x 10mm. Please note that the housing behind it is slightly smaller.
I have recessed the display slightly into the front panel, and it fits just right (there is only 1mm of the front panel left at the top and bottom).

can i know your user config.txt file with the settings for your display?

Hi @calzolaio
These are the entries for the display in the /boot/userconfig.txt :
disable_overscan=1 It is used to eliminate the black display border (was used for old CRT monitors).
This is the display I used:
11.6inch Capacitive Touch Screen LCD with Toughened Glass Cover, 1920×1080, HDMI, IPS, Various Devices & Systems Support
Here is more information about the display:
11.6inch HDMI LCD (H) - Waveshare Wiki
It is in the first two lines of the config.txt:
DO NOT EDIT config.txt
APPLY CUSTOM PARAMETERS TO userconfig.txt

Welcome here and greetings!
You’re doing really well, keep it up… keep improving! I’d probably focus on the power supply area now.
I’m looking forward to the next installment…

What are the three rotary encoders used for?

Hi @becool
the three rotary encoders are used for:
top left - Volume down/up
top right - Seek backwards/forward
bottom right - Skip previous/next
I designed a custom board for the rotary encoders that fits under the HiFiBerry DAC+:
The whole thing can then look like this:
Further information about the rotary encoders and the Volumio plugin can be found here (in German):
