HDMI audio output hardware volume control

Hi,

I have a raspberry pi model B1 512mb with Volumio 1.55 installed.
The audio out is HDMI (connected to my Yamaha RX-V671 Receiver)
Is it possible to setup volumio that the volume control is using receivers volume control?

(I also have a RPi2 with Openelec/Kodi…using Yatze as a remote I can control the volume of the receiver…since this is working I thought that it would also be possible in volumio)

Okay…nice info…but does this solve my question?

You could just use the volume control of your receiver, can’t you? Thus leaving volumio on the same volume.

True (this is how i work right now) but i need an extra app or receiver remote tot control volume.
