FusionDsp : the complete Dsp center for Volumio3!

Hello. I just installed FusionDSP and I am trying to adjust the preamp. I see that there is an automatic preamp option, but I would like to set it manually. I entered CamillDSP backend GUI, and I was able to fetch the DSP config and edit the preamp in the pipeline (adjusting dB) and apply, but I could not save the config.

It worked for a short while then the music stops streaming, and Camilla DSP (on the backend GUI) says Offline.

Any help in manually setting the preamp is greatly appreciated.

John R.

Just adjust attenuation in FusionDsp. Don’t change anything in Camilladsp unless you don’t want to use FusionDsp gui at all.

Hi

Volumio with FusionDSP on Raspberry Pi4 are great out of the box!

And when I learned to do room correction with a very helpful Orchard Audio Youtube video (+REW software and a UMIK-1 microphone), things got better, still.

It is safe to say I now get the best possible sound out of my equipment in my room.

A huge thank you to makers of Volumio and Fusion DSP!
Also: thank you Orchard Audio, for helping DRC newbies to get the most of Volumio and FusionDSP

Thanks @balbuze

Great addition.
Now I am able to load all my headphones with options to one list.
What’s even better, the list is alphabetical sorted, which makes my life easier when I forgot one

Than you for your feedback!

Thank you so much! Life is wonderful with the presets now!! ;D

For some reason, the Fusion dsp is forcing under volume options in general playback, for the mixer type to switch to hardware otherwise no sound. I have a pre amp so i do not need to control volume. This started happening in the last month. Any clue to what’s going on ?
Emilio

Hello,
Weird as there is nothing in FusionDsp able to change the mixer in settings…
And it can’t appear a month ago
What I suggest
Disable FusionDsp and reboot.
After reboot set the mixer+(none in your case).
Reboot.
Check if the setting is still ok.
Enable FusionDsp.
If the problem occurs, please generate a log and send the link.
Let us know

I uninstalled fusion and reinstalled it. It now works. However, i checked the convolution filters and instead of improving the sound like it had previously, it dramatically reduced the volume. Also I find that while at times it allows volume to be increased in .5 (in case one speaker is at a greater distance than the other) other times it shows no measure of the increments. Thanks for your help

Dear @balbuze may I ask what is Q paramerer for 15 band equalizer? Setting used works really ok, its simple, but with known Q value would be easier to estimate in REW required value. I know that I can use parametric but prefer 15 band for simplicity…

I can’t check now but if I remember it is Q=1.85
