A question concerning upsampling, today I generate tap files using 96Khz frequency with 65536 tap, so, is it mandatory to modify the resampling and to force 96 Khz in Volumio ?

If you have only a 96kHz filter, then yes, you have to resample in 96kHz or the result will be incorrect.
Donāt resample in playback settings if you use sources not played by MPD, such as Youtube, Spotify, multiroom. Instead, use the resampling in FusionDsp. It handles all sources.
Better, create filters for all sample rate use. Select the first and FusionDsp will switch filter according to sample rate!
The only requirement is to name file with -samplerate at the end of name like that:
left-44100.pcm
left-48000.pcm
left-88000.pcm
and so onā¦ See files provided
To continue the re-sampling topic, today I am using minidsp Flex8 to manage my DIY 3 ways speakers (based on Triangle Extan without any hardware crossover).
The minidsp flex8 is running internally at 96Khz. Is the best solution to re-sample all songs in 96Khz in Fusion in order to minimize re-sampling in flex8 and in this case having only one filter 96Khz ?
What are your advertising in that specic case.?
For your information I prefer using FIR in RPI3 in comparison with Flex8 (FIR capable) because FLEX8 is limited to 2048 taps with 96 Khz that is not enough to correct frequencies below 300 hz.

I have an issue where Volumio player locks up and needs to be rebooted whenever I use my custom yml setup in CamillaDSP GUI. I created the setup from scratch and also tried uninstalling FusionDSP and reinstalling and recreating but with no joy.

I think you changed the output in your file.
Output must be " postDsp"

Thank you for your help. Strange as I created the config from scratch within the GUI and changed nothing in the file but I tried recreating from scratch again and now it does play for a minute or two before crashing.
I saw your posts above about clipping protection and gain adjustments so I did that but I am still getting periodic crashes I have included a fresh logs below.

What I suggest is to set FusionDsp in the mode you want.
Play something
Then open Pure Camilla gui and click fetch from DSP (on the left side). No you have a valid config.yml.
Make your changes (not the output except the number of channels!). Apply your config. If ok, save your file.
Iām going to fix the clipping issue soon. By waiting, add a attenuation in mixer

I tried again and got the same results but I raised my chunksize and increased my queuelimit as they both looked low and now it now goes for longer before crashing.
Another issue I have noticed is that when playing the sweep files included with FusionDSP the first reference timing chirp doesnāt play so REW can not take a measurement. If you loop the track then both chirps play but you cant start a REW measurement in between the end chirp and the start chirp chirp as the gap is too small.

What Dac do you use that requires to change chunk sizes?
For the sweep files provided, ref signal is on the right channel.
You need rew >5.20 if I rememberā¦
I canāt check now as Iām not near my HWā¦
I am using an M-Audio M-Track 8
when I first checked chunksize was 128 with queuelimit 1 which I had never changed. In attempt to get a a completely clean slate and start again I factory reset my Volumio box and went through the process rebuilding everything from scratch. Now I havenāt had a crash yet (about 10 min) and the chunksize is the default of 4800 and queuelimit is 1.
Regarding the measurement sweeps I downloaded and analysed the the 4 sweep wav files in REW and the only file that works for me is the 512kMeasSweep_30_to_20000_44k_PCM16_LR_refL.wav the other files (apart from the no Ref file)have there reference chirps right at the beginning of the file and when I play those files the chirp at the start does not come out of the speakers.
Edit: I have learnt how to make my own sweep files in REW and can use those now but it maybe helpful to others to add a gap at start and end of sweeps as an FYI the latest REW automatically adds a gap at start and end. Would be happy to send you some if you are busy.

Do you play then using the button in the plugin?
Or your DAC or AMP need a wake up?

I play the sweeps from the music library and with any file I play it misses the first maybe 1/4-1/2 second. My DAC is a soundcard that doesnāt have any kind of standby mode nor does my amp. I can be listening to one track and if I change to a different track I get the skip but if the two files play after each other from a playlist then I get full playback. Could it be something to do with gapless playback? will try disabling and see if behaviour changes.

On/off button for quick settings doesnāt always work. Itās greyed out. Quick settings changing preset work, I have tested with mute left preset. This is how I know pressing on/off button doesnāt always work.
Seem to be a problem in the web browser (Firefox), seem to always work in the Android app.
FusionDsp v1.0.40 beta - Seems good, no issues with system locking up, clipping detection enabled.
