FusionDsp : the complete Dsp center for Volumio3!

Thanks for your logs.
There is nothing that can explain why v1.0.35 behaves differently. The change in last version is just the log level and the import filter. Nothing else
But we reproduced the white noise issue. Don’t know why yet. But we investigate…
Thanks for your help.
Edit : we suspect something with 24b file.

@balbuze

Yeah I can confirm that. But more changing from 24b to 16b or visa versa.

this can be reproduced almost every time.

start playing 24b = play ok
now select 16b = white noise, press pause for 2 secs then play. plays OK
select 24b again, either white noise and you can pause to make play or it just goes quiet and unresponsive.

start playing 16b = plays ok
select 24b = white noise
select 16b = play ok
rinse and repeat

CamillaDSP LOG while doing the above

I have an identical fresh install, same version of volumio, same plugins, same setup method same playlists and queue etc. but with FusionDSP version 1.0.33 which works fine 3 hours last night not a single glitch, also just tried on this version switching back and for between 16 bit and 24 bit files without issue.
Certainly strange.

Hello!
I was doing same test when I saw your post!
I can add it occurs on some hw even when changing track to an other from the same album in 24b
Weird, on a rpi4 with headphone selected as output, it works

tested the same on a x86 with 2 different DAC’s (Topping E50 , iFi Zen DAC)
Switching from 16b to 24b absolute silence and system stops responding.

TY
So it confirms… But at this point I have no idea to fix this…
And see no diff in v1.0.33 to explain it

Tge only thing I found, also in some of the other logs “error: WebSocket error: [object Object]”:

this error is when CamillaDsp is not running, if nothing is played for exemple. Or if mpd hangs…

Just mention it, as this appears in the log during the “sound of silence”

Hello!
I found!
A stupid error. I commented a line in

data/plugins/audio_interface/fusiondsp/asound/volumioDsp.postDsp.10.conf

  hw_free_command "tail --pid `pidof camilladsp` -f /dev/null"

and forgot to uncomment!
You can test.
You have to disable/enable the plugin after change
I will publish a fix ASAP.
Sorry… :grimacing:

Volumio 3 Issues?

After a few songs on qobuz ,volumio stops and while it looks like it’s playing on the app , there is no sound. Only rebooting will correct it which is obviously annoying and makes me use bluesound as backup.

Can you provide more info?
A log will help us understand where your issue is

did you get the log?

@elamar

You need to copy the link to log here

Seems you’re using FusionDSP. Please update to the latest version. (V1.0.36)

Update it. Played the new Nina Simone album. Only played first song. In the second song there was no sound although it looked like it was playing. Froze couldn’t change songs or album
