I have had a lot of trouble and crashes with my brand new Volumio Rivo plus.
After sending my log files and all information to the Volumio support team, I received the information that the cause of the problem is the FusionDSP plugin.

from the log the fusion Dsp plug-in is going a little crazy
Unquote
Of course I have no fact about, what is going grazy.
I was running Rivo on OS 3.908 that moment.
I had updated to the latest new released android app
If the Android update is the trigger or that the moment was random, is not sure for me.
After this I have spend a lot of time in complete re installing the OS, update to 3.909. Have had a lot of crashes. But now after 4 times back to 0 and re arranging everything, is seems that the unit is running smooth and stable again, with the FusionDSP installed, active.
I use the FusionDSP software with the PEQ option.
The plugin running was from i think something with 12 in it. Sorry, I have not saved this.
I do see there is a newer version available right now.
Is this a known problem? Can this be solved? It was very anoying to get a fullyu unreliable and not working Rivo plus streamer.
Hello,
Sorry to read you have so many issues.
But you are taking about log. Can you send a link so that we can see what happens? (Even if you already sent it…)
For the version of volumio running on your device, FusionDsp is v1.0.74.
It’s known as rather stable (see this thread, not a lot of complaints).
You don’t said what and when you meet the problem.
Is it when playing a specific source?
If you can give more details.
Thanks
Thanks for your infomration and reply.
I do not have the “old” link anymore, but hereby a new one. Maybe you can also see why it is uninstalling and going strange…
I am complete new to the Rivo+.
I installed and configured everything
Added music library’s (>100k files) (NFS)
Wifi off
BT off
UPNP and DLNA off
Installed FusionDSP and a 7 bandt PEQ filter
I played mostly and everything from Tidal app (windows and andriod) using Tidal connect, but also hopping between Volumio browser and app for controlling.
I updated to the latest andriod app. After that moment the Rivo stopped working. No connection from app, no connectrion from browser. Only I could see the IP in my router.
Could not turn of the Rivo. Nothing worked.
Used USB stick to reflash the firmware
Started working again
Setting all again, also FusionDSP. Then the system went wrong with the indeding fo the library’s and crashes.
Uodated to the beta volumio software
have made in total 4 times a factory reset
Now all and everything is setup, running and not giving so much problems, till I try to update the FusionDSP plugin and in went slow, in the end it removed the plugin itself and now everything is running as it should
Is the update button always visible, even when there is no update?
Can you see which version of FusionDSP is running and which version is available?
Thanks for the link.
Unfortunately, you generate it after a.factory reset, so no plugin installed, and no error…
Reboot your system, install FusionDsp, play some tracks and then generate a new log.
The android app doesn’t change anything to the Rivo. It is just on the phone side.
Don’t reset your device in this case. It should be available on a web browser with its IP address.
As far as I understand, you are able to play music, right?
When you install FusionDsp, it’s by default the last version available. You can see an update, but this for the next Volumio 4 , not yet deployed on volumio hardware… So no need for update.
You can recontact the support if you still experience issues.
Here this is a community, and volumio hardware is not supported as you deserve.
@balbuze hopefully I am not unpolite, but I would really enjoy PEQ graph from @squadgazzz
I’v seen that changes have been merged into master. I tried BETA plugin test mode. But version is still 1.0.62. I googled a bit but could not find info when plugins are updated. I guess plugin releases are managed by Volumio team on regular period basis?
Hello.
I merged it. But I also added other things. It requires a careful testing to be sure there is no regression.
If you see only 1.0.xx it’s because you are on Volumio 3…
When available, the new version will be for Volumio 4 only.
If everything goes as expected, I plan to release a beta this weekend.
Thanks you for waiting
