Hello there. First post here.
iTunes had a great feature which enabled you to democratically queue music according to popular demand.
It worked like this:
Every device in the network had the ability to vote for the next music, giving it a “thumb up”. The most voted musics would go up in the queue. Users could search and vote for any music available in the library.
If we get to implement this solution, users could also vote down for musics already in the queue.
Since everyone has a cell phone capable of running Volumio, this would make partying with friends a lot more democratic, and it’s a feature I will always miss in iTunes and will never understand why it was changed/removed (also, it was limited to iPhone/iPod touch users).
