Trying to connect a new 2TB SSD in a USB enclosure. Formatted as ExFAT.
Currently it’s about 1/2 full (~980GB). When I plug it in Volumio acts like it’s starting to scan but then becomes non-responsive. I’ve given it a few hours each time but end up having to do a hard reset (unplug power).
Should I be allowing it far more time to scan or am I hitting some sort of cap/limit?
It seems like Volumio hits damaged files.
Please scan the library again and if after 1 hour it’s not completed post a log here, so we can see what is happening.
Thanks. Working on a hunch I deleted the folders that have my wife’s collection and reran it - worked like charm. Would the log identify which file(s) borked the scan or is there some other way to validate files before letting Volumio take a whack at them?
yes the log would have showed the errors during scan, till a point that the errors get in such amount that MPD crashes.
