Volumio 3 Issues?
Why doesn’t DSD256 and DSD512 native playback work in newer versions? In 3.429, DSD256 still works (the E50 DAC shows 11.28 DSD), but DSD512 shows PCM 384 instead of 22.58 DSD. In version 3.449, my E50 Topping only shows PCM 192 even for DSD256 and DSD512 files?
what platform are you using? could you please provide some logs?
Im afraid you will never get DSD native with a “plug” in the alsa pipe feeding the hw device. as I see in your log:
There is always a plug before the hardware to be safe
pcm.volumioOutput {
type plug
slave.pcm “volumioHw”
}
pcm.volumioHw {
type hw
card “E50”
}
“E50” Where and how can I enter this? The E50 is set up according to the attached diagram:
This is Volumio 3.429, DSD64, DSD128, DSD256 work here, only DSD512 writes PCM (native DSD512 also works on PC foobar2000) with the DAC E50.

Thanks.
Hi, when is the update expected?
Hi!
I found the solution. The multiroom function is enabled by default in Volumio, it is enough to disable it.
Settings->Sources->Multiroom Playback->Off
