Guru’s, I could do with some help
,
I created my own “Radio Station” with Icecast and added it to Volumio. Icecast and Volumio run on the same pi (based on the volumio image you can download). Everything is great, I can listen to my radio station (actually it’s based on a playlist) see the artist and track info and “sometimes” also the cover art.
The challenge is in the “sometimes”. All my tracks, .flac and .mp3, have cover art (there might be some exceptions but they are rare), does volumio have any restrictions on showing cover art in the UI, size (pixels/kB), colour schema … or …
I just can’t figure out.
TIA,
Arjan
There was a list of constraints some years ago, I couldn’t find it today.
The files need to be jpg or png
I’ve standardised on 700px x 700px as that is what comes with purchased music from Bandcamp.
The art needs to be in the album level folder, and be called folder.jpg or cover.jpg (or .png if that’;s what you’re using).
@pwstereo thaks for your feedback, however I think I have not expressed accurte enough the challange I am facing.
On the same system where volumio runs I have created a audio stream(via icecast2) . I have added this stream to volumio. The sources are shared but since it is a stream volumio cannot in any way find out where the source of a track inside the stream is actually coming from. It just has only the stream. Within the stream there is metadata (like artist and title) and the cover. Artis and title are always shown, except the cover is not always shown.
If i use volumio to play any song the cover art is shown. Therefore all my tracks contain the cover art. The question is; why doesn’t it show up always when volumio plays my stream.
Sorry, I misunderstood the situation. I don’t know the answer for your problem.
