Dac with command line entries. But where to enter?

I used to have odroid and hifshield. But sold them to sail to new horizons and bought a rberry pi3.

Now looking for a cheap dac solution and spotted this dac I attached.

But it requires some command lines entered to get used.

1.sudo apt-get install alsa-utils

Edit this file:
1.sudo nano /etc/modules

Adding the content below, store them by “Ctrt+X” and then withdrawl

  1. snd_soc_bcm2708
  2. snd_soc_bcm2708_i2s
  3. bcm2708_dmaengine
    4.snd_soc_pcm5102a
    5.snd_soc_hifiberry_dac

After store the data, using instructions to synchronization and restart the board

  1. sync
  2. sudo reboot
    This step is very important, restarting must be done"

I have terminal in my macbook. And open it. And then? :slight_smile:

Ps: I will buy Kali and Piano bundle in some time. But I want to try this first.

Making it work in Volumio will (probably) not require to edit files manually.
From a fresh install (make sure you made no other modifications). Go to playback settings, enable i2s dac and select Hifiberry DAC.
Then reboot.
