Custom streamer with Raspberry PI and DAC

Hi all!

I’ve been lurking here for a long time and decided its about time I post my own build here as well, thought you might enjoy it too. It is a streamer build with a Raspberry PI 4B, HiFiBerry DAC+ ADC Pro and an extra wide touchscreen.

The housing is made through a combination of 3d printing, lasercutting and milling.

Only one picture unfortunately, since I seem to have lost my old account and can only post one. :frowning:

I hope you guys like it!

Thank you for the kind words! The one thing I want to add/upgrade is add a digital input, but I am not yet sure how I am going to go about that. Here’s the back btw, I saw I could post more pictures now

That enclosure looks glorious! Consider me jealous!

Love this. Can you share the details? Especially the case and the touchscreen installation.

I can! The touchscreen is a Waveshare 11.9inch 320x1480. It is mounted on a printed frame, that doubles as the skeleton of the case to guide the curves. The front of the case is a separate piece of wood with a recessed hole for the screen. For the interface I used the Now Playing plugin. The whole outside is lasercut from a thin sheet of veneered wood, I designed the whole thing in SolidWorks but it still took more attempts than I’d like to admit to get the curve to work just right

I am afraid the actual model is lost, I have had to replace my computer since and did not have a backup. I do plan on remodeling the interiour of the case, so if I get around to it I can post a link but no promises here.

Hi.

The design is simply awesome. With all due respect to the other streamers here, including my own… Yours is simply the best. By far.You put a B&O logo on it and it looks like a real B&O product.

keep it up!!!
