CORRD and Volumio in daily use

Hello Community, i think it is time to discuss about “CORRD in use…”
I use CORRD since about 3 month.
What do you think about this new application?

in my case:

  • CORRD is connecting correctly over Tidal to Rivo+
  • the “Flows” choose often the same artist, specialy when you have set a smal choose range
  • i can’t erase a new built “Flow”
  • the “context” field is difficult to unterstand what reasen it has

I’ve been using CORRD for a while as well, and my experience is pretty similar. The integration with Tidal has been reliable, and playback on my streamer has been stable, so I can’t really complain about that part. Where it still feels unfinished is the recommendation logic. Even with a reasonably large library, it tends to recycle the same artists and albums more often than I’d expect, so the “discovery” aspect isn’t as strong as it could be. I also agree that the Context field could use a better explanation or some examples in the interface. Right now it’s not obvious how much it actually influences the generated Flow. As for deleting Flows, I was surprised by that limitation too. Hopefully that’s just an early design decision and not something permanent, because being able to clean up old or experimental Flows seems like a pretty basic feature. Overall I think the concept is promising, but it still needs some refinement for everyday use.

Hi everyone, thanks a lot for taking the time to share your feedback about CORRD. I’m the designer and developer of the app, so it’s really valuable to hear how you’re using it.

I’m happy to hear you’ve found it stable and that the TIDAL integration is working well. Combined with a Volumio device, I think they make a pretty nice pair!

Regarding the growing list of flows, you can tap and hold any flow to bring up the option where you can hide it, so it won’t appear on your Home screen anymore.

About the Context field: I completely understand that it can feel a bit overwhelming at first. It takes a little experimentation to get the most out of it.

If you haven’t already, I’d recommend trying a Custom Flow by tapping the + button in the top-right corner of the Home screen. That’s where CORRD really shines: you can describe exactly what you’re in the mood for, and the recommendations become much more personal than with the predefined flows.

Thanks again for the feedback, and please keep it coming. Comments like yours are what help shape the app.

hello “leorigna”
Thanks for your answer.
when i choose for exeample the “Jazz” Flow. i reset him to the original setting.
now by hearing it i have the same titles as by the last resetting to original. i have 5 times the Artist “Kenny G”. I don’t like him. i get angry…
my idee is to implement a switch to erase some artiste in the running flow. only til the nex change of his setting.
i know i know, are high expectations
