Hi,
I would like to know if there is a way, or if it is possible to implement it, where you lower the volume by 3, or more, Db right at the conversion level.
That is, have the conversion volume directly lower at the source, without losing quality.
Having an old Naim Pre I need to keep the volume knob at less than a quarter, which I find in terms of performance, not satisfactory.
I would therefore like to keep the output level of my Raspberry with Allo Boss Dac lower instead of the volume on the Pre.

Since you’re using an old Naim, I assume it’s fed via RCA, meaning you’re not using the Allo Digione. As far as I know, the other Allo devices have hardware volume control. Try lowering the volume using the mixer in hardware mode. This way, you can adjust it within Volumio without compromising quality
