Hi everyone,
I’m new to the forum. I’ve been using Volumio for about 2 years.
My Volumio is version 3.785 on a Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB).
In all this time, I’ve only had these two problems:
Sometimes, when I update the music library (on a home NAS that is always accessible), the update never stops and keeps running for many days. This only happens with external media, not with memory sticks on the Raspberry Pi’s USB port.
Did you know about this? Is it an issue with a Volumio release?
Recently, I changed my PC and I can’t remember the password to access the memory stick. I used to access it automatically without typing anything. I think it’s still the original one, I don’t believe I’ve ever changed it.
Can I recover it? How?
I have noticed the same behaviour recently with version 3.785 updating from a NAS . The update seems to work but I have to restart Volumio to stop the rotating arrows.
I can avoid the problem if I am only updating a single folder by clicking on the 3 vertical dots after the folder in the library listing and then selecting update folder from the dropdown list.
I am not sure if this behaviour began with the latest version.
Hi guys.
I also have the same issue on Volumio rev. 3.785 and RB P4 4GB. When I update the music library (I’m using an Iliad router), the update process takes a long time, sometimes even for entire days.
I’ve noticed this issue since updating to version 3.785, which I did about two weeks ago.
How can this be resolved?
Thanks.
Don’t get the problem for your 2nd question.
Did you password protect your memory stick, if so we can’t solve it.
If you want to access the stick that’s connected to your rPi, then you just need to browse on your windows machine, or use WinSCP/Filezill to access it.
These are the default volumio credentials
not my problem, no protect password on memory stick.
I’ll tray it. I do not know WSPC but I know FZ.
Believe me, on the old PC by typing \\network\volume\usb, I used to enter the memory stick without any problems. The password is saved in Windows but I don’t know where…
thank you.
anyway I back to the first problem, I
attach the screenshot of the last music upload (i changed storage, now it is an ssd connected to the raspberry usb port). the result doesn’t change, it has been running for two days…
