I returned to Volumio but after several trials I am unable to connect to my QNAP NAS.
My NAS under network in Windows is called NAS314D19, I enter that under ALIAS.
Enter ip-address, enter DataVol1/muziek/OVERIG and change to NFS filesystem.
It does not connect. Is there an easier way to connect to my NAS? How do I use the scanning function of Volumio, what does it scan for?
Hoi Kees,
Your mount is not DataVol1/muziek/OVERIG, you need the share name that you have setup in QNAP.
The share name is: muziek/OVERIG, tried that as well without the DataVol1, no luck
I thought I needed to put the volume of the disc in the Nas too? What is the correct Alias, where do I find it?
- Alias is just a name to where it’s mounted on your device
/mnt/NAS/<alias>
- Your share is either
muziek
orOVERIG
, depending how you setup your share, it’s never a combination with a “/” in it. - you have properly assigned the share for NFS access?
It turns out the NAS had a safety feature switched on. Therefore Volumio was not able to find the NAS. Now I configured it correctly and Volumio found the music files.
Database is now up and running.
