Hi, I’m doing some tests. I connect i2s pins of rapsberry pi (pins 12, 35 and 40) to the same pins of kali or piano 2.1 (in this case also connecting 5v and gnd) and it does not sound music, nor does it recognize the dac. Has anyone done this? with odroid c2 no problem, connect 3 odroid pins (7, 6, 5) to gpio pins (40, 12, 35) and it works perfect. I’m confused.
In this case it will work with generic dac drivers, but you will not have volume control and piano setup.
Other pins are needed to communicate between the rpi and the dac.
To make it work 100% you must also connect the pins: 3,5,7,11,12,13,15,16,18,22,27,28,29,31,35,38,40.
I tried this yesterday and it works.
